Viewing the DVR from a Remote Location
The DVR is confirmed to work in the following environments:
|
1. Microsoft Windows (All Versions) using Internet Explorer
2. Iphone using built-in browser
3. Blackberry Phones using Opera Mini Browser
|
Windows - Internet Explorer
Accessing the DVR from a Windows PC must be done with the Internet Explorer Web Browser. We have done testing with Mozilla Firefox and have not been able to gain access using it.
Instructions:
2. This will take you to the DVR Login page. Now, you must enter in your username and password which should have been given to you. Once you have entered the username and password, hit the Enter button or Click the Green button with the arrow on it. This will log you in and bring you to the main DVR viewing page.
3. You can now view the Camera with the default view or you may modify the view according to you preference. To do this, use the controls at the bottom of the page (One looks like a computer monitor and the other looks like a video camera)
4. Click the dropdown box next to the computer monitor and select how many cameras you would like to view at once. Select 4 to see the 4-camera view, 7 to see the 7-camera view, etc.
5. You can also use the dropdown box next to the video camera to switch through the different cameras. Simply select which Camera you would like to view.
If you are having trouble viewing the cameras after attempting to login, it is likely due to the fact that most newer versions of Windows have default Security Settings that are very restricting and do not allow the downloading of Browser Addons (ActiveX controls) from third-parties.

Iphone & Blackberry (Opera Mini)
The process is identical for accessing the DVR site with either type of Cellphone. If you have a Blackberry, you must use the Opera Mini browser which can be downloaded from the Blackberry App World. If you have any questions about the Opera browser, google it. With the Iphone, it works with the built-in browser.
Instructions:
1.
To access the DVR from the Iphone, the procedure is very simple. All you have to do is open up the Internet Browser like you would to go to any webpage and Enter the address:
http://ladeda.homeip.net:8083
2. This will bring you to the login page. Now, enter your login credentials (username and password) in the respective textboxes. Click the login button and you will be logged in to the Mobile DVR Viewing website.
3. From here, your options are a little limited compared to the regular DVR viewing site that can be accessed from a computer but you can still view all of the different cameras. To switch which camera to view, select the dropdown box at the top of the page and scroll down to whichever camera you would like to view.
This concludes the tutorial on Remote Viewing the DVR. If your system is not supported, it is possible that it will be in future versions.
